The Tigers took the Curlin Cup in a great match with CBU Saturday October 30th. The score was 39-7, but that score does not reflect the intensity of the match. Both teams fought hard to the final whistle. There were plenty of powerful runs and powerful tackles.
The Tiger scores came mainly from flashy exciting open field runs and the CBU advances and sore came from close handling “pick and go” power movements.
Chairman of the Memphis Rugby Foundation, Larry Magdovitz, presented the Curlin Cup to Tiger presentative, Musa Banat.
The match was played in front of about 250 excited fans that included executives from CBU and friends in the Memphis Rugby community. The Flamingos played a match immediately following the Tiger-CBU match.
